AKOTO OSEI COMMENDS CONSTITUENTS PAGE 16 (JAN 21, 2009)

THE Member of Parliament (MP) for Old Tafo/Pankrono, Dr Anthony Akoto Osei, has commended his constituents for the massive show of support to the party in the last general election which saw him retaining his seat.
"I am highly honoured and humbled by reposing confidence and faith in me to represent you again in the august House," a release signed by his Special Assistant, Mr J.K. Owusu-Boakye, stated.
It said the MP was impressed with the high turnout in favour of the NPP.
The statement expressed the hope that the people would continue to throw their weight behind the NPP, even in defeat, so that the party could re-organise very well to ensure victory in 2012.
It also acknowledged efforts made by the constituency executives and the foot soldiers during electioneering
The statement mentioned the massive socio-economic development achieved in the constituency in the last six years, and added that this was achieved with the full support of the people.
It, however, admitted that there was still a lot to do to bring development to generally acceptable limits.
It, therefore, urged the people to continue to support the MP to ‘move the area forward’.
